Passion for art began with visual arts training at Fordham University Lincoln Center in the 1970s. Bill worked with local NYC artists to create projects in painting, sculpture, and photography. Collecting images in mixed media from around the world has been an extension of the exposure to the creative process.
Upon moving from Thailand to the United States, Sukol began exploring his environment through photography. Living in New York City provided inspiration for him to combine both visceral and intellectual images found in his work.
